Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2024
The World Cup of Sleeping ("WCS," "we," "us," or "our") takes the privacy of our competitors' biometric data with extreme seriousness. We are collecting clinical-grade health information.
1. Data We Collect
During the competition, we collect telemetry data directly from your approved wearable device API or manual upload. This includes:
- Heart Rate and Heart Rate Variability (HRV)
- Respiratory Rate
- Core Body Temperature deviations
- Actigraphy (movement) data
- Derived sleep staging (Hypnograms)
2. Data Usage
Your biometric data is used strictly for the purpose of scoring the competition and maintaining the historical leaderboard. Aggregated, anonymized data may be used for internal statistical analysis regarding sleep trends among elite competitors.
3. Data Retention and Deletion
Raw biometric data is retained for 30 days following the conclusion of the macrocycle for auditing and dispute resolution. After 30 days, raw telemetry is permanently deleted. Only the finalized calculated scores (Efficiency, Architecture, etc.) remain on the public leaderboard.
